Dreading the annual chore of untangling your Christmas lights? This year, try the zigzag method! Mentally divide your tree into several vertical wedges of cake and start hanging your lights from the top. Work your way down the first wedge in a zigzag fashion, then start on the second wedge from the bottom up.
Lights done? Time for the Christmas ornaments. Choose your decorations: a 245 cm (artificial) tree can easily hold 8 different kinds of baubles, and you’ll need 24 of each. When it comes to the festive season, our motto is always ‘more is more’. And a lavishly decorated tree brings pure magic into your home. So: Christmas music on, scented candle lit, and everyone decorating the tree together. This is the time to create some wonderful family memories.

Let’s get started! Visualise your tree with a diamond pattern and intersecting diagonals. Start with the biggest Christmas baubles and hang them deepest in the tree. Then use a smaller or larger diamond pattern for your next series of ornaments, and repeat.
Want an even fuller-looking tree? Add beautiful artificial branches with glitter or large bows for the finishing touch. And at the bottom? As well as an eye-catching Christmas tree skirt, nothing beats plenty of presents. Soak up the Christmas atmosphere in our Flamant shops or discover the best gift ideas online.
